How much is the security deposit that is blocked on the credit card?
The security deposit depends on the type of vehicle and the type of insurance requested by the customer, but it ranges from $300 to $990.
Can I pick up or drop off the vehicle at Punta Cana Airport?
Yes. You can pick up the car at Punta Cana airport at no extra cost, but at other airports in the country you would have to pay an extra fee.
Is it possible to rent a car if I only have a debit card or cash?
Yes. It is allowed.
What is the minimum and maximum age allowed to drive their vehicles?
The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum is 70.
Is the mileage unlimited or are there any zone restrictions?
Yes. Mileage is unlimited within the Dominican Republic, but note that entry into Haiti is not permitted.
What happens in case of an accident or mechanical breakdown during the trip?
In the event of an accident, the first step would be to contact us as a company. Then, we would proceed with the traffic police, and depending on the client’s insurance policy, we would provide assistance, such as vehicle replacement or roadside repairs. Everything depends on the specific situation.
What is the fuel policy when returning the car?
The tank must be full and returned with the same fuel level as the vehicle received.
Can I add an additional driver to the contract and what is the cost?
Yes. You can add an extra driver, but after two drivers you must pay an extra $25 per day for each additional driver, only if you have more than two.
